Hi,

I have a replication environment developed on multi-master replication. Here I have 1 master definition site and others are master sites.

I found the data mismatch between the master definition site and a master site when replicating. So I have decided to drop the master site DB2and decided to rebuild the database by exporting the database from DB1. Can I know the steps to copy the database DB1 to DB2 and to stop the replication and restart again on Db2.

As i came to know that we cannot truncate the database, I have decided to drop the entire database from the replication environment and build it same as master definition site DB1(parameters and tables, etc).

Please can anyone come with the steps to drop the database DB2 from multi master environment and create a new databse as DB1 and add the database DB2 into the replication again.

Pls ... anyone help on this..

the oracle version we are using is Release 9.0.1.0.1.

The OS on which databases installed are HP-ux.

Note. Both the databases are in 2 different servers..

regards
sandy
