Hi,
I installed forms and built a simple form using EMP table.
I was able to compile the form successfully but when I run the form it opens IE and says IE has stopped working and closes the program.I have tried of couple of solutions found on net but hasn't helped.
Can anyone help me run forms on my system please?
I have Windows Vista OS and IE7.

Thanks
Kalai

In IE8 you can turn of third part extensions. In IE7, that option is not available. the best solution is to either use the JRE instead of Jinitiator, or replace the JVM in the hotspot directory with an old version. I don't recall the exact instructions, but if you search, you will find it.

And my response is:

Search for the solution where you are asked to replace the jvm.dll in the hotspot directory under the jinitiator directory.

But you haven't really given info like if you are running on the app server or a local copy in forms developer, what version of database, etc.

You'd also have to check if that combination is supported (IE7, Vista, Forms, Jinitiator, etc.)

It is working.
Actually I couldn't find the hotspot directory first. Re-instlled JInitiator, replaced with jvm.dll in the hotspot directory and it worked.

Thanks much.

I solve this problem i used oracle form dev 10g and IE Ver.8 as you know IE ver.8 is not certified by oracle yet so you have to run SUN JPI by modify formsweb.cfg
in this URL C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\server\formsweb.cfg
by changing this

baseHTMLjinitiator=basejini.htm

to this

baseHTMLjinitiator=basejpi.htm
