Dear i got static ip from witribe a broadband company in pakistan i am trying to connect database from client side computer who connect with internet when i ping my server it reply with good speed but when i try to connect database the message appear (Unable to connect Destination) but it works very well with Local Area Network computers. More how can we change port 1521 in client sides

Edit tnsnames.ora.

Dear Michel Thanks for reply now at that time i successfully connect server from internet and with static ip i successfully open shared folder from server by internet but when i connect oracle database the error generate (TNS unable to connect Destination) the same tnsnames successfully job done at Local Area Net Work i only change in tnsnames host=static ip in tnsnames for internet

I think there are some problems with port 1521

when we connect database through local area network it works very well but when we connect database through internet than connectivity failed and error generate (TNS unable to connect Destination)when we try to connect database via internet we give static ip in tnsnames.ora and port 1521
