How i use external tables as a form datablock in oracle oracle forms 10g

an i use anyway external tables in a form datablock ???

Yes, you can base your block on an external table.

What would be its use, though? It would be READ-ONLY.

In exactly the same way as a normal table. Just create a block on it in the datablock wizard.
There are no special steps.
However you will want to set update_allowed and insert_allowed on the block to No.
