hi ,
i created a form to read excel data into its datablock using webutil, and it works fine.
but in this case my excel has to be on client m/c, thus loading into data block becomes too slow.
for 2 columns and 1000 records it takes 15 minutes.... 
some1 suggested me to take excel onto server and use OLE2, i managed to take excel in same directory on server where my .fmb and .fmx is.
now my question is how i will read excel,since my excel is not on client m/c, it is on server ????
i know webutil won't help me here. so what should be the solution using OLE2 ??
NOTE: client OS is windows, server OS is linux, form version is 10g, app server version is 11g.
